About
I am a postdoctoral
Humboldt Research Fellow based at the
Institute of Algebraic Geometry within
Leibniz Universität Hannover.
Geometry fascinates me, with algebraic methods my preferred means of
exploration. In particular, I think a lot about rational curves,
rationality problems, and geometry in positive characteristic.
Current Projects
During the autumn of 2024, I am:
- organizing a working seminar with
Stefan Schreieder
around rational curves in algebraic varieties; see
here for more details.
- thinking about unirationality of a large class of high degree hypersurfaces
in positive characteristic. These are related to the \(q\)-bic
hypersurfaces that feature in this and
this paper; also take a look at this
talk I gave a while ago!
- thinking about derived categories of quadric bundles with
Noah Olander!
- thinking about Prym varieties and cubic fourfolds in characteristic \(2\)
with Gebhard Martin and
Dominique Mattei.
